We stopped for a late lunch in Geneseo, Illinois. The “vegetable” available as a side dish was corn. There is a lot of corn grown in this country, adorning the hills and plains of state after state, feeding the masses of omnivores who might be healthier with a more varied diet. The pigs we met yesterday, for example, graze for 85-90% of their food and are fed seeds and grains of other sorts to supplement the greens. They looked healthy and happy roaming and rooting, snorting and showing off for guests.
The nearby cows also grazed on rolling acres, and looked content, based on my amateur analysis of their facial expressions. Well, judge for yourself.

We awoke early and met friends of Zach’s at Tina’s Cafe and Catering. “Tina is a delight,” Zach declared. She and her employees seemed to know all of the customers. Food was hearty and filling. The cinnamon rolls are enormous and delicious. We shared one among the four of us and took the rest for road-sustenance.
Departing from Lincoln we headed East on I-80 from Nebraska to Iowa. There we stopped at the Iowa 80, World’s Largest Truck Stop to wander and marvel at all things trucking. Who knew there could be so many chrome accessories?
Having resisted the temptation to trick out the truck and camper with chrome and bling we continued our trip East to Illinois and Indiana
Tonight we’re in the parking lot of the RV and Mobile Home Hall of Fame. More details to come.
